We are accepting applications for the 2026-27 Chair of Excellence in Urban and Regional Planning Scholars Program until May 30, 2026.

Rising MTSU Sophomores and Juniors with a GPA of 3.5 or above for college coursework.

  • Faculty Reference Letter (signed and submitted to berc@mtsu.edu by the faculty member)
  • Essay (2 page maximum)

Why are you interested in the Chair of Excellence in Urban and Regional Planning Scholars Program?

When applying, please keep in mind that, if accepted, you are expected to attend in-person meetings one Friday each month during the program from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
